The Fuller Center for Housing
Haiti Emergency Appeal

THE CASE:
A devastating earthquake strikes in Haiti, and the FCH team needs to launch an emergency appeal to generate funds for immediate construction of sustainable, fire-resistant, and earthquake¬-proof housing for the people of Haiti who have been displaced from their homes. DD came up with an urgent-themed direct mail UPS package that created a very high open rate but was not overly expensive to mail.

THE RESULT:
11,445 donors solicited; 7.03% response rate; $114 average gift; $92,000 raised, most of this in the first 5 weeks.

The Fuller Center for Housing has relied heavily on direct mail as a revenue source. In the ever changing world of fund raising we were looking for a vendor that could help steer us through. We have found that with Direct Development, who have become more than a vendor to us-- they are a partner in our work.
